The staff needs work!!

The apartments themselves are very nice. They are spacious and have plenty of closet space. We also enjoyed having our own washer and dryer, a garage, and a cozy fireplace. It felt more like condo living. Foothill Ranch is great community to live in.
On the hand, the service we received was horrible. When we first moved in everything was great. Then there was a change in Management and things went downhill.
-The front gate was usually broken.
-Our name was never added (in 3 years, although we requested a few times) to the front gate, so we could not buzz friends in and we had to walk down to get them.
-Nigh time security was stopped and parking was no longer monitored. It became difficult to find a spot after 6:00pm. When we confronted the staff on this they said that had received several complaints and were going to reinstate parking stickers. This never happened.
-Maintenance was slow to respond to repair requests. Sometimes requests were ?lost?.
-The sidewalks were dirty and wet due to misplaced sprinklers.
-At times, the staff could be downright rude and short. They were also incompetent and intrusive. Wendy, in particularly, was extremely rude to both my husband and myself. She was short and snide. I was really surprised by her attitude. Both Alex and the maintenance gentleman were a joy to work with, though.
-After signing a form stating that we were giving our 30-day notice, we received a note on our door asking us if we were going to renew our lease. This example, among others, shows that their office is not "with it".
-There are constant "inspections" done throughout the year and on a day's notice. They come in to clean the rain gutters, check the fire alarms, and clean the chimneys. They schedule blocks of time such as 8:00am to 4:00pm for these services. One time, I heard a service man enter my apartment while I was showering and I believe he proceeded to check the fire alarm (even though I was indisposed) because I heard the front door open and close again a few minutes later. My husband was at work at the time and no one came later to check the fire alarm, which, by the way, is located in the outer portion of the two-room bathroom. I am glad I locked the inner bathroom door (I normally don?t).
-The pool is rarely heated and some of the weight-lifting equipment in the gym was broken (dangerous).
In general, the buildings are nice, but the staff and service is horrible. Their office seems to be in disarray. Surprisingly, moving out was a breeze. I don't recommend this complex just because of the inconvenience the Management caused us. They lack consistency in their service.
