Questionable......

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2003
My husband and I moved from Seattle where we were renting a brand new home that was over 1,800 square feet with all of the appliances included, so this transition was a little tough for us. After doing the normal apartment hunting torture, we decided to sign a lease here mainly because of the layout of the apartment. It is more like a condo and has tons of great space. Also the complex itself looks like little homes more than apartments.
When we moved in, we had walked through the apartment on 2 seperate occasions asking the staff to take care of A LOT of cosmetic repairs that needed done. We were ASSURED that our washer and dryer would be here and the repairs would be made. Move in day arrived, and not one repair was made and the washer and dryer were not here. Not to mention our apartment was not cleaned. My mother actually found a pubic hair on the toilet in one of the bathrooms. After A WHOLE BUNCH of complaining we finally had a WONDERFUL maintenance man spend the majority of the day here fixing things for us and they did offer us a discount on our rent for the amount that they would normally pay their cleaning people. Our washer and dryer showed up the next day (by luck). They gentleman told us that they never called in the request and he just so happened to have a set in the truck and was on the grounds....luck'
I went over today to sign the lease and was informed that there is a tenant that is complaining about my husband's work vehicle. He has to have it to get to and from and is called out in the middle of the night. Not to mention, we all need to pay our rent...this is how we pay ours. I felt as if the mentioning of it was a polite way of saying that they didn't want it here...ALTHOUGH we asked before even seeing the apartment if it would be a problem and were ASSURED that it was more than FINE. My husband also makes great efforts to park it in a "parking area" as opposed to right in front of someones residence. He also does not generally get home until well after the sun is down and is gone by 6:45 AM, so how this is such a great bother, I am not sure....it is just the point of it being mentioned.
The staff tries, but it is very obvious that they are VERY overloaded and are doing a thankless job. I think within time, things may start to look up, but that is just an assumption.
Just know that the apartments are older...have a few coats of paint. Have some cosmetic damage and MAKE SURE YOUR REPAIRS ARE HANDLED WELL BEFORE YOU MOVE IN!!!
By the way...MATT IS AWESOME!
