This place was a joke from the start..... We paid all deposits, received keys, then 4-6 months later we received a "Demand Letter" that we had a $400.00 balance on our deposit'' The person working there either came from another property up the street & was stealing money or was stealing money from there & went to another property up the street. You get accused of violations when you are not the resident doing the violation (they just assume!!)The neighbor upstairs was playing rap music very loud... I get the call from Management that it was us (same day) & it wasn't. It could not have been becuase I'm black...now could it'''' I JUST HAD to be playing the rap music. Well I was notified the same day of complaints from other residents of the loud rap music from management. When it was concluded that the rap music was the "WHITE" neighbor upstairs, who seems to like rap music also. It took the office & corporate office 3-4 weeks to notify the neighbor by ("LETTER" not by phone call same day !!!!) because they are living there on a 3rd party basis also(temporary agency who pays rent...in full up front). Same as the other neighbor upstairs who's dog(s) SHITTED on every common ground area by our complex & would not pick it up to save his life. I would leave in the morning to go to work & as soon as I walk out the door....Ahhhhh!!!....The fresh smell of dog ---- in the morning!! This guy was not on the lease & staying with another couple on a 3rd party basis... We had to confront this guy on our own terms no HELP from mangement, due to them not smelling it or coming by seeing it piled up everywhere. It was not a concern of theirs. You receive letters that your cars are blocking other residents garage or parking in red zone areas. The letters would never have complete information regarding the incident ( example: your vehicle ID, License #, color of car (maybe),time & date of incident''') Information like this helps identify a car or resident but a generic(template)letter blaming you..... who knows'''... if PALOMA SUMMIT want to blame you. You are the target. My microwave right now is being held together with a plastic bread tie to hold the vent together. I'm going through some legal court fees w my son right now informed manangement that i would be late w the rent. I would have all late fees penalties (lunch!!) what ever they tack on by Thursday 7/19/07 & i received eviction (1st in my whole life) papers on Monday 7/16/07 No one form Manangement ever called & stated there was going to be a problem I did NOT know!! Management (which has never been formely introduced in person, welcome letter etc.), but from what I hear Her new name is "------!!" only by calling a family of mine who is not currently on the lease to inquire about my personal info (rent inquires etc). I never received an apology for that incident. The gates are always open, the guest entry pad does not work, the lock on both pool gates are not working currently, the surrounding neighborhood is using the pool not just the residents. The landscape company has employee's that don't speak any english at all. They blow dirt & debris all over your cars with those loud blowers. They don't care!!! Neither does the Management. The water bill is always an issue because each bldg shares the expense, regardless if your home (using the water or not!!) but the landscape looks like "HELL". The hallway ceiling light is right by the upper hallway cabinet. Each time you open the cabinet you hit the hall way light fixture. Which is loose in my apartment now. Why someone would put a light fixture right where you open an upper cabinet is beyond me''' I'm just waiting for it to fall on someone's head at my place. Their was once a purple couch & small bar-b-que pit in the bushes by our bldg for at least 6 months I saw it every day & wondered when would maintanance or landscaper decide to remove it....I finally one day just called the office & requested it be removed. They could not believe it had been there sooooooo long. A current leasing agent lives on the property in a "low income" apartment (so meaning someone that is REALLY considered "LOW INCOME" is on a waiting list for this apartment or another paying @ $900.00. I heard she failed a particular test so now she is back at Paloma Summit. Most residents are not there for long periods of time, so they don't care about the property about as much as the Management does. So this process is a "BIG FAVOR" to me, I definetly can find another property to accept Paloma Summit's July rent & late fees that will not be a problem. I hope who ever decides to move into Paloma Summit they BETTER BE VERY NICE & KISS THE MANAGEMENT'S BEHIND. If they want to get any results. There were times when the leasing staff accepted lunch money or $$$ for services rendered. But I thought that was their JOB!!!!The corporate office does not & will not call you back if they do not want too. it takes about 2-3 days if they do decide to call you back. My final words are.............. If you like to be treated equal & as an indivdual Paloma Summit is NOT the way to GO!!!!!!!!!................GOOD LUCK!! the key word here is:FAVORTISM!!!!!!!!! The water fountain by the pool was just fixed recently, We were told when we moved in that the pool was heated year round, The clubhouse which we were told for our use is ONLY used by Paloma Summit staff. You have to rent a clubhouse out somewhere else at anothe property.

7/23/07- Yesterday I had guest(s) over at my place & I received a knock on my door @ 3:00PM from a leasing agent of the Paloma Summit property informing me that she received 2 calls from people informing her that there is a posting on Apt.Ratings.com & she requested that I take the information about her & only her off. I mentioned no one's name in my review. The leasing agent stated she was showing a future resident an apt. in 10 minutes & she was very upset about what she read about herself. She wanted the info regarding her removed in that or at that time. She also stated she has 2 jobs & she is qualified as a "Low Income" resident. She for some reason was under the assumption that we were "friends'" I have never been friends or hardly even spoken to any one in that office as long as I have lived there. I only have been in that office (physically) (3)three times to this date. I never said "a word" I just listened & closed my door. My guest(s) over-heard every word this person stated to me. This is what I'm talking about..........The leasing staff is NOT suppose to have any conversation or contact with a tenant(s)once an eviction is in process. Let alone come to a resident(s) door with the above request/demand. What gives her the right to come charge at my door & request/demand that I REMOVE information from my review!!!''' Why should I' Is it not true''' Remember this is the same office and or staff that could not work out a deal or a gameplan for me & my family when we NEEDED it. I called the corporate office and left a message for the regional person to inform them that the office staff has approached me about the above information. Which I do not appreciate & that they need to control and/or maintain their staff in a professional manner or this can & will go to the next level (legally!)

As Of Aug 8, 2007, we have completely moved out. Spoke to one of my neighbors who stated when they moved in the male leasing agent was very nice, but he was in charge of ordering new furniture for the model apts to show future residents & if not all the majority of his order(s) of new furniture was forwarded to Arizona where he ended up. After leaving Paloma Summit & moving to Arizona with new furniture. Thanks to all the resdients here. My neighbor stated that's about the same time the "Water Bill" started to kick in.
REMEMBER... when you move out you can not receive a communication in writing that you return your keys back into to Paloma Summit property. That is not their policy!! I was not asking for a notary to sign a formal document, just a communication/acknowledgement that they had receive the keys to the apt.

We were notified in an email from apartmentratings.com that a new posting was put here today. We are moving out in August (due to job transfer)and bummed that we have to go. This was a PERFECT place for us. Sorry to see the person who just wrote a bad review on this place was upset(due to what looks like financial problems? We can all relate to that at one time or another!) Hope things turn around for them soon. This place is cool. When they told us before we moved in that it would be quiet, they were right. We think that our time here will be remembered as a GREAT one! Not sure what the rents will be like after we leave, but we can tell you it was worth every penny to live here, it's peaceful! Priceless. We will come back and write our own review after we move out. No apartment living goes without problems, we hope things turn around for you soon!

Wow, if this woman spent more time working and less time bitching she might be able to pay her rent.

The truth hurts this person sounds like they know what they are talking about I was addressed with a lost deposit issue also. The gates are always open, the landscape is bad, the pool is not heated we were told the same @ that & the so called clubhouse. I have called management regarding our apt numerous times no maintance person has shown up till this day one resident told me she has been there over 10 yrs they will not replace her stove or carpet the same since the people who move out before her the apt did not have fresh/new carpet I believe this person the dog situation is also true I do believe the office could have waited 1 more week for rent since they did it for me numerous times I don't think that was fair it seems they did not want to help this person I do not think a job or money was the issue show me a Person who has never been late or needed an extension on a bill or responsibility & I'll show you an unreal human being

I believe MOST of the review. However; please don't just keep pullin out that tired old race card. Management probably believed that YOU were responsible for the loud rap music because the neighbors thought that it was you. It is well known that many "white" people, especially teenagers, listen to rap as well. And we all know that teenagers and even twenty something college age students are NOT good judges of the appropritate sound level at which to play music.
