3/23/06 - i have an apartment overlooking the pool....its noisy all day every day....the kids do nothing but scream in the pool and the parents dont even care....people upstairs must weigh 400lbs....they stomp around every chance they get at all hours of the night. couple downstairs have white trash drama going on and the cops come by at least once a week. rent went up 12% after 1 year, I dont know if i will stay.
UPDATE - 5/17/2007 - The couple upstairs have a 2 year old who stomps as she walks. I understand the kid is learning how to walk, but do you need to play chase at 7am on a saturday' The white trash couple downstairs was chased out finally and I am happy with the neighbors and we have all grown to know and like eachother well.
The noise at the pool has gotten considerably worse. This is my 3rd summer living here and its only May and I can tell you its already the worst summer yet. The kid population has doubled. The spa has turned into a daycare center's toilet for all the kids. The parents ignore the posted signs that state there are no kids under 14 permitted in the spa. Want to go down there to relax' too bad, theres 5 year olds throwing the chairs in the spa. I can understand childs play sounds coming from the pool, but the kids scream bloody murder while the parents sit there and it doesnt even phase them. The pool isnt a daycare. No one wants to hear your kid scream. You arent the only person living in this complex, please be considerate to your neighbors.
Now, I have read some complaints about Christy. I have heard mixed things from many residents about her. Either you love her, or hate her. I love her. She follows through on everything, she remembers my name and my apartment number. She really cares about this complex and it shows. Its sad when I see people just go in there and treat her like a punching bag because they arent happy with something. She does her job the best that she can.

I tend to agree with the reviewer. I know, kids love pools and it's very exciting for them, but a little common courtesy towards the other residents and the facilities goes a long ways. It's not all the kids taht are a problem, but many are. I also agree with the last response regarding people driving to fast in the parking lots and the increasing rent. In the end though, one of the better places I've lived. Oh yeah, I think Christy's great. She may not always be super cheerful, but that's OK. She gets the job done, she remembers my name and apartment and always says hi. By far better than many others that have come and gone.

I know that the children are annoying to most people, especially those without kids of their own when trying to enjoy the pool/spa. Believe me.... Sometimes I want a "free day" too.
BUT... It is also very annoying to go out as a family & have to deal with a group of "adults" playing their music (which contains curse words & is loud for all to hear), watch them drink out of glass beer bottle, smoke cigarettes (which I do not feel I should have to smell) & take up what I hear is considered "their part of the pool/lounge area." No one owns the pool area...Period! Not the kids nor the adults. All the chairs & areas of the pool are fair game.
We all need to be fair. How is it fair when the kids are called out on being loud?obnoxious but the adults ar not. I am a adult who does not want to smell the cigarettes nor see the butts lying around, listen to the music not of eveyone's choice & watch as they (some are not residents) get drunk.... Please point fingers at eveyone.
As far as Christy is concerned ~ her ability to remember peoples names & apartment #'s is fabulous (and I agree she does do so) but she could just be a bit nicer/poliet when she speaks to you. Not all memebers of this community are out to get her. Being treated with mutual respect goes all long way...

Sonterras policy on the hot tub as posted by Sonterra's sign outside the fitness center says "Children under 14 allowed in hot tub with parental supervision"

I agree with all of the above. I happen to live on the first floor and have a couple who have 2 children and they are up at 6:00 a.m. running like its a ROMPER ROOM....I have made complaints about it numerous times with no results...so I have taken action myself. I am considering moving out....

What do you expect living by the pool? That's one reason not to live near the pool. Get a lawyer to deal with the horrible people. You can usually get them to stop with just one letter from an Attorney.
