I have lived at the Franciscan for over 2 years now.
When you stop by to check the property out for the first time, you right away realize that you will have to compromise regarding quality vs. cost. However, once you move in, you later realize that the rent for these apartments is way higher when you compare the age, quality, state, and management of the property.
Bathrooms are horrible with stained tiles, noisy fans, and patched up walls. Wood is old, and painted over like a million times.
Bedrooms have old, non-working closet doors, dust all over, and old blinds.
The heater is very old and keeps sending unwanted particules into the air sometimes getting people sick.
The kitchen has old appliances (my dishwasher keeps making the sink's drain flush back up filling the sink with garbage and water).
And on top of that, the worst part is management (and believe me the apts. are in such a bad shape that you will have to deal with them quite often). It's cheap and poorly responsive. You have to go like 3-4 times to deal with an issue. At the end they go and patch up whatever needs to be fixed.
Go and look around in Foster City for much newer, nicer and priced relatively equal properties instead of jumping into this 1900 century junk yard with a lazy incompetent management (read the other postings and you'll know).
