Do NOT move here!! Nice apartments, but rude management

Read all the other reveiws and you will find a plethora of reasons NOT to move here. And I hate to admit, but they are all true. Although the apartments themselves are spacious, and the grounds seem well-kept, one of the main things people do not know when signing the lease, is how terribly the management staff treats its tenants. And I am here to tell you that they do not care about them at all.
Let me give you the most recent situation. The elevator in one of the buildings has had problems for over a year. The outages were very frequent. The repairs were inadequate, and recently the elevator was brought down for almost 2 entire months because there was a huge risk of it free-falling (yes, the employee actually admitted that!!) Had proper maintenance been conducted, the elevator would never have deteriorated to this condition.
One of the tenants was about 8 months pregnant, and she had to go up three flights of stairs. This puts her at a huge risk for having a miscarriage... Another tenant that I met had baby twins, and she told me that she felt like a prisoner, trapped in her home for weeks, because without help, she could not carry her babies down all alone. Personally, I was not put at risk, but at a huge inconvenience. Either way, it was not acceptable.
Elevators are bound to break down. What you need to know is that they did not schedule repairs in a timely manner. Do you know why' Because they did not care about their tenants. Instead, they were too busy negotiating the costs with the elevator company. Do you know why' Because the apartment complex would be sold to another owner, and of course, how tenants are to carry laundry and groceries up and down the stairs, or how a pregnant woman goes up 3 flights of stairs, and another tenant is trapped in their unit, is of no concern to them. They only cared about minimizing costs!!
One new tenant signed a lease with this apartment complex, and they never bothered telling her that the elevator was broken. Can you imagine her surprise when she found out that she had to carry all her possesions up the stairs instead of utilizing the elevator''
They hired a security guard to assist people with their groceries and laundry, but he was never available in his post when you needed him, so what good was that'
Do you know what they offered the tenants' A $20 rebate off of our rent!! TWENTY dollars!!! When the tenants complained, and demanded more, do you know what the owner said' That he believed that $20 was more than sufficient for the inconvenience that we had to endure!!
Rent here is a little cheaper than most other units in Foster City. Thanks to this website, you don't have to wonder why. We are telling you why. Do not move to Harbor Cove!! They take forever to take care of maintenance requests, the staff is extremely rude, parking is beyond horrible, there are no laundry facilities in each unit, they change parking assignments without proper notice, etc. etc. There is a reason why rent here is slightly cheaper than other apartments in Foster City!!
Don't get fooled!!
