The only thing this place has going for it the location. The owners are trying to milk every penny out of it. They do the absolute minimum they can get by with and jack the rents up at every chance. When you renew, they only offer 10 or 11 month leases so they can raise you again in less than a year. And the rates they offer you are above market (newcomers pay less).

Repairs are generally makeshift because they're too cheap to give the maintenance people the proper parts (to the credit of the maintenance people, they seem to try to do the best they can under the sad circumstances). The buildings are old and they haven't done a single thing in the 2 years I've been here to maintain them. Soundproofing is non-existent. If you play your TV or stereo at a volume you can hear it at, so can all of your neighbors. And you will certainly hear theirs. If you end up with someone who blasts their sound your life here will be a living hell. If the people above you have heavy footsteps you'll feel like there's always an earthquake going on (and it will take you a long time to figure out when there's a real one happening).

The halls are filled with cooking smells so nauseating I often have to hold my breath as I unlock my door and hurry into my apartment. (And I often have to close my windows to keep it out, too.) Incessantly barking dogs and tons of screaming children add to the joy.

It has been making me feel ill each month when I write out the large rent check for this slum. No more -- I'm outta here.

Our maintenance team is very eager to provide you with the best service available and certainly have the parts necessary to fix whatever may go wrong in the building. If you are experiencing issues in your apartment, you can either call us, email us or come on in to the office so that we can address anything you need right away. We wish that we could sound proof all of our buildings but in a shared living environment, you are definitely going to hear life going on around you. In addition, our common area hallways although filled with smells of what's on the menu today, also provide other benefits that you can't enjoy in a garden style apartment community. We hope that you can overlook these sounds and fragrances to enjoy the fantastic lagoon side location in Foster City.
