I've lived in this complex for 7 years and I have very mixed feelings. I have a waterfront apartment (beautiful view) and the size of the apartment is the largest in Foster City. The maintenance people are very helpful and friendly. The problem' My car has been vandilized 3 times and my husband's car twice in the past three years. I know these things happen but 5 times between the two of us' Harbor Cove could care less when we call the report the incident. We have security people but because Harbor Cove does not want to pay them more money to drive by during the night more often, our cars get vandalized. It's not just our cars, it's usually an entire row of cars that get broken in to. We're talking shattered windows, cut dashboards, and dents! The apartments are old. I can hear my neighbor having a coversation all the time, not to mention his snoring! I understand this is apartment living but the kids playing and screaming all through the weekend and after school every day is really a nuisance! I'm sure my nrighbors wouldn't appreciate me screaming and throwing balls against their walls everyday!
For the amount of rent we pay, the apartments really should be renovated. I know some are-they're probably the model apartment though. We've gone through 5-6 management teams in the time I've lived here. Get your act toghether. This could really be the greatest apartment community in Foster City.

It sounds like you are one of those people who should possibly think about buying a home and doing away with the 'nuisance' of common walls and community. I lived at Harbor Cove for about a year and before I moved, some idiot decided to pull off my mirror on my car and trash it somewhere. Just because they felt like it. I didn't even involve the office, because it happens after hours and the people doing it are residents of the town we all love and think nothing bad can ever happen in. Our fellow adults and young adults are asses who don't respect other people's property and the office cannot do anything about that. You could have patrol there all night long, but with as much space as Harbor Cove takes up on the block, a vandalism can STILL happen at one end while they are making their way through. The jerks we really need to point our fingers at are people that we pass on the street on a regular basis. Think about that.

I'm the Regional Portfolio Manager of Harbor Cove Apartments. I appreciate your candid feedback about your home. Our Property Manager does care about what happens on her facility and I hope that you continue to provide her feedback directly so that she can address any issues you may have. She's been managing Harbor Cove for over 3 years and has worked for Essex for over 10 years. It's nice to hear that you are happy with the maintenance team. They have worked very hard to provide the best service possible in Foster City. Our apartment homes are in a great location and many of them have fantastic lagoon views. They are a great value for the unit size, property amenities and location in Foster City. I hope that you will continue to call Harbor Cove home.
