We have been living here for almost 3 years and have found it to be a safe AND great place to live in comparison to some places we've lived at on the peninsula. I mean, there's no shooting or stabbing incidents happening in this part of town.
Management has been professional and nice which is refreshing compared to what we've been used to. The rent is creeping higher and unfortunately we live in an expensive county with the means to attract the necessary skills and employees to keep our economy going.
When we've put in a request to fix something, it is usually done in 1 - 2 days. We had smoke damage from our chimney and they repainted the wall area above as well as had the chimney professionally cleaned. Basically, you have to be patient with the large amount of units in this place to get something done and it doesn't hurt to ask kindly.
Some people are just outright mean and have too much time on their hands to write reviews that are not necessarily accurate. Shame on you - you're just as bad as the kids you write about at Lantern Cove except you are supposedly an adult. (NOT)

Either you're part of management, or you're used to living in the projects. The rest of us who rented units at Lantern Cove are telling accurate stories of our experiences. It just gets sad when people have to resort to pretending like they are actually renting units from buildings they are in fact poorly managing.

Yes, definitely it's management that wrote this! You can tell by certain points like "you have to wait patiently & ask nicely"; when the previous sentence was "things get fixed in 1-2 days!"
Most of this post is contradictory! Why would you bring up "no shootings or stabbings" here!? Duh! That is why people move to Foster City and pay the higher rents--it's not an excuse for charging the higher rents!
Nor is it an excuse for allowing an unruly group of kids free reign of the parking lots, swimming pool & common areas! (what, we should be glad there are no violent crimes & accept the invasion of our persons & property by these teenagers while paying $2100 rent to live here?!?!?????)
Of course; maybe this post is from one of the tenants that "house" 4 "children" and 2 adults in a 2 bedroom, one bath apartment here at Lantern Cove!?
Oh yea, again--that would be the management!!
Shame on YOU management--if you did not allow this cramming of people into these high dollar small apartments; we would have the caliper of people here at Lantern Cove that belong in Foster City and the others would be forced to move to a more appropriate area for their lifestyle!

This must be the couple with 2 kids that are friends of the management with 2 adults and 4 kids in the apartment.

No, my husband and I were not part of the staff or management. I work in venture capital and he works at Stanford U, instead we did buy a very nice home out in Sacramento that's 5xs the size of the condo we lived in Lantern Cove for several years. Far from the ghetto, project living conditions that someone alleges on this posting. If you're not happy - then move from this place, no one is forcing you to stay here. There will always be something that management needs to fix or mend or take care but there is something they simply cannot do. They cannot fix your attitudes or your nasty hearted comments posted here. It really says a lot about who you are and the drama you live in daily. So do everyone else a favor and stop it. Start living life as though you enjoy it and make a difference in this world!!!
