Enough already

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009
One year is more than enough. I recently decided not to renew and moved out, because I realized that this place just wasn't worth it. Miramar looks nicer than many places, but given the exorbitant rent one should not have to deal with poor security and irritating staff. There have been multiple cars broken into in the last 3 months, and from talking with other residents, it is no surprise. In the recent case, it happened in the afternoon, not at night. Given this circumstance, the management chose not to install any cameras or improve security, but recently remodeled the leasing office (I'm not kidding, go check it out yourself; the remodeling took about a month).
In addition, the manager who lives in the building seems to treat the complex as her own. She has reserved the pool for her family and friends, and even had a bouncy castle on the lawn, even though the pool is supposedly open for everyone. Many of her friends or family have also moved in. I wouldn't mind these things as much if they weren't so rude. I have encountered the manager on the property and she won't even offer a smile. Seems like she is more interested in the money than the residents. Probably explains the high rent as well...
