Everything is relatively great until you move out and they send you your deposit refund. They charge you to clean your apartment--no matter how clean you get it. "There were streaks on the sliding closet mirrors." They will charge you for painting, even if you hung nothing on the wall. They'll find something to paint, and charge you. The carpet is a given. And then here's the kicker: they charge you the last 2 months of your water bill, no matter if you pay those bills or not. "You'll have to call the water company if they don't send you a refund check." Oh, thanks for being on the up and up with me. These are pretty much standard charges for those who move out, in fact, she said she was giving us a break, like on the cleaning.

Bottom line: If you move in, expect to take a hit on your deposits when you move out. No other apartment has ever screwed us on our deposit as bad as Sand Cove did.
