so far so good

We just moved in and it seems fine, exept one thing. When they drew the plans they figured on having model T's and parking them one in front of the other. Parking is the only draw back so far. If you have more than one car you will most likely be inconvenienced, even if they are small cars you will have to lock one in behind the other. If you have a large car or plan on it, you will have trouble. If you own an H2, forget it, look elsewhere. Visitor parking is taken up by residents owning multiple cars. If you have visitors and they have trouble finding a spot, they will be forced to park a more than a block away down a side street. They need to make some structural changes to catch up with the times. Other than that we like the place fine so far. Oh one more thing, the cabinets in our unit are the old cheap particle board and has that destinctive smell of Roach crap. There were roach tracks all over when we moved in. We spent a whole day scrubbing from top to bottom. It might be that I'm just picky too, because I'm not used to apartment living and roaches in old buildings that stink. But I think thats whats out there so I have to make the best of it. It might have been the person who lived there before us, because the bottom of the toilet tank had black mold, really bad when I cleaned it. It has a typical handyman paint job where they painted over the dirt. The used a roller on the cabinets, which I thought was funny because they sprayed the paint in the closets, but not professional workmanship. But I guess that what you get in apartment living, I'm just not used to it. The place looks nice on the outside and they have put some money into it. I can see how some people would have been complaining before about noise and problems with water if they had been under construction. They have improved the club house with upgraded fixtures, but the unit I'm in, the toilet and fixtures are from the 50's and the kitchen sink is the shallow 35 dollar stainless cheapo. They really cheaped out our unit. They say we can upgrade things ourselves, oh joy. We will C how things go, the service and people that work their are very pleasant and very helpfull. The do all they can do with what they have to work with and are consciensous and care about the people that live there. I like it and hope to reside and I do recomend anyone who has a small car and wants to live in a nice atmosphere.
Toodles.
