Don't let them TOW your car!

During my stay at Corte Bella, my car was towed 2 1/2 times - on the third time, I came out just in time to drive the car away before the tow company hooked it up. And contrary to the last comment, we had only 2 cars. One time, our car was towed because we couldn't park in our garage... it's a long story.
However, I just read in the OC Register today that towing companies are not allowed to tow unless the property manager is present - even if it's 2 in the morning. If they violate this rule, they can be fined up to $5000. So please, make sure you know your rights if ever your car is towed.
In general, Corte Bella is a beautiful complex with an exceptional maintenance crew! But being backed up to the 405 freeway (unbearably noisy when you open your windows), having ultra thin walls, and employing the worst management team (ever!), makes Corte Bella a very unpleasant place to live.
From our experience living at San Marco, Parkwood, and the Aspens, we never even comprehended the idea of bad management until living at Corte Bella.

It's not the bad management that bothers me it's the over priced rent. Never in the history of apartment renting have so many paid so much for so little to so few for so long. The overpopulation and tight apartment market gives these guys license to steal and they are happy to do so.
