I lived here for a year in an upstairs unit. The first few months I enjoyed the location, it is close to everything, including the freeway. But 6 months in, one of our cars was almost stolen, they got about 300 yards with it, then ditched it. The damage was done, over $1000 worth of repairs. Now one breakin can be expected, but a couple months later we had another, this time only about $400. The staff was indifferent and unwilling to do anything about it. At that same time there were several apartment break ins. A friend at the police dept confirmed there was a problem at the complex. Amazes me that the staff was unwilling to hire any security to protect the tenants. About the same time the termites started and we had constant spiders. We paid about $300 more to move to Irvine but we feel much safer and with the cost of repairs things evened out.
Heating and A/C were real problems as well, the in wall heating units do not regulate the temperature so it was either to hot or to cold.

I totally agree with you. I had my car broken into twice when I was parked in the back lots...the AC was pointless and sucked...we never had termites but man it was so hot with an upstairs upartment. Then our Apt backed up to Bushard so I am sure you could imaging hwo noisy it was....good choice on Irvine WAY BETTER!! That is where we live now :-)

Another agree from this former tenant. Cortebella is the most over priced and messed up place I have ever lived. Rules and more rules and a staff that had to have been previously fired by the DMV. What a mistake moving in there.

DO A BACKGROUND CHECK ON ----------- PLEASE. SHE IS SKETCHY - SHE GOES AGAINST SHEA'S POLICIES. ONE DAY SHE WILL CAUSE SHEA TO LOSE MILLIONS IN A LAWSUIT AGAINST THEM.
