This apartment looks great from outside and roomy inside. I rent a middle floor (2nd) facing source west. This unit is bright. I basically like it, especially the price is under 1,400 for a >800 sq feet 1br when I first moved in in 2006.
However, there are problems. One major problem is the noise. The floor is poorly built. When someone walking on upper floor, foot step can be clearly felt (not only heard). Specially there are light fixtures at the kitchen ceiling that magnify the vibrations. If residents above walking on their kitchen, it feels like the fairly large earthquake. I made several complaints, no help. This really drives me mad. I highly recommend you to rent a 3rd floor unit, never 2nd, never 1st.
Another major noise source is the air condition compressor located on the ground outside the building. In summer, when someone use air condition, it is really really loud. I was on 2nd floor, it is very loud that I have to close all windows. I can image it must be even worse on 1st floor. Strangely, someone still using air condition in mid-October. They must be from north pole.
Another major problem to me is the bath. The bath only comes with a shower, no bath tub. Soon after I moved in, the bath drainage back flowed. The dirty sewage waste water erupted from drain back into bath. The sticky odor is really disguising. I have to spend one night without shower and suffer the terrible odor. Next day I went to office and asked for a quick fix. So, it is fixed the same day. But a few days later, it came back again. Only this time it was even worse. The I have to spent another night without shower but with sticky odor. Then on the second attempt, it was finally fixed. But this time, the maintenance staff left all after mass to me. The the back flow left a reddish water mark after sitting on there for a whole night. I do not know what it is. That is very hard to remove. I have to scrub many many times to make them less noticeable. I am pretty easy going and still using the bath as it never happened. If changed to someone else, he may find to hard to use the same bath that was one soaked by sewage waste.
Generally, I like the location and the exteriors. I also like the floor plan. But it is not enough to overcome all the other headaches I have experienced. When they raise my rent by a whopping $200 when the same floor plan is at least $100 less on their web site, I finally decided enough is enough. I am out of here. I can not recommend this place. If you really want to live in this apartment, remember never never on lower floors, only the 3rd is livable.

Sad to say.. I still live in these apartments and has been living for the past two years, I regret to live here because of the lease... Most of the experiences that were pointed were the same experiences... to name a few..
Unfriendly staff, no specific policies set by the management, management staff keeps changing their rules, no uniformity in the rules of the staff and many more...
