If you can justify the price

Out of all the apartments in the area, this apartment is up there in terms of exterior design and location. Lake Elizabeth and BART are both walking distance, so if you like to visit the park and/or take BART to work, this place is perfect. Free-for-all parking is adequate, but it is at times a distanced walk if you do not have a carport or a garage, which both come at an additional cost of $25/m and $100 /m. As for noise, the ceilings are thin. You can hear your neighbor upstairs walking about. If you live on the second floor above a garage, you may be annoyed by the opening and closing of the motorized garage door.

The overall appearance and landscaping of the community is nice. The walkways are well lit at night and the color of the complex is well matched. Maintaining its cleanliness and appearance are top priorities as I can tell.

The office staffs are not too great. They work in a professional manner, but lack the knowledge of what you expect of a staff. Renewing the lease is a ripoff and hassle. When I first moved in, I was told when it's time for renewal, I will have good negotiating power. When the time came, I was told the office cannot control the pricing, as it's only up to corporate. I was fairly upset with this and asked to talk to the office manager. I waited 10 minutes and finally, the office staff whom I was talking to, said the office manager can lower the price from $1,563 to $1,535 (this was after the fact they told me they cannot adjust the price). Plus the office manager was too busy to come out and see me. Mind the $1,535 price was from $1,505 one year ago. Only reason I renewed was because I couldn't find the time to look for a new place and move out.

All in all, if you are not picky of small things, you'll enjoy this apartment if you can justify the price and the clueless staff. There are other competitive apartments in the vicinity, so selection is not at all scarce.
