Has anyone noticed that ALL of these postings are the same' nobody REALLY likes living in an apartment. so to make the best of it here is a list (I used while I was looking):
1. Make a list of all of things you MUST have in order of priority. 2. Find a community where you are close to work or school if that is important. 3. Find a community that fits your lifestyle-If you like quiet move somewhere quiet, if you are noisy find a community that is a bit busier...etc. 4. Parking- choose a community with enough parking for you & your guests. 5. Choose a floor that you want to live on, if you don't want to hear people above you, then move to the top...if you are lazy choose a place on the first floor. 6. Use YOUR instincts! Relying on these negative comments may not necessarily be the best way...go visit the community you are thinking about and decide based on the vibe you get when you go.. you should feel comfortable. 7. Price- Find a place that fits you budget and that has as many of the things you wanted from your list. 8. Remember- Apartment Living is about living in a community-be a member of it, be respectful and realize that your actions may effect others. 9. Remember Management is a business, not all of the people that work in the management office may always be nice, but many of them are doing the best that can. Do you have a job where 90% of your day is made up of people complaining' 10 Security- A lot of crime has to do with opportunity- if a community has a neighborhood watch, or is set up so that all units are visible by a neighbor do better. (I worry when I see bars on windows, fences or guards as that makes me think there must be a real problem.) 11. Choose a place based on what you NEED and WANT, not so much on price and you will be happier!
