RUN away from Countrywood Apartments.
the staffs are friendly but gives you BS information about policies and rip you off on ALL of your security deposits when you move out.
the place is kinda old, dirty and noisy sometimes, depending on which unit.
the pool is always crowded with black people that doesn't even live at the place.
PROS:
-Close to highway 880
-Breezy during summer times
CONS:
-Random black kids knock on your door for money for his basketball team
-Phony staffs
-Bad policies
-Rips you off on security deposits and make you pay extras or threaten to send it to collections
-Not gated, doesn't feel very safe at times.
-Expensive compare to other equivalent or better apartments around the area.
-LOTS OF stray cats and you hear cats purring during the nights.
-Bad isolation from outside.

A few points are not relevant(current resident)
-About the kids knocking: can happen anyplace, just ignore and say NO without opening
-Not gated: Price is reasonable for what you pay for, Gated will be more expensive and may not increase security...people have been known to bypass gated systems (I do it all the time at my friend's place...just piggyback on someone else going in)
-Never woke me up from a cat purring... yeah there are cats, but they are not a problem, nor do I hear them purring.
Dont know about the security deposit issue since am yet to move out.

This prevoius resident must of left his apartment a disaster, I just moved out about a month ago and I got all my deposit back, if you want to get your deposit back then you need to make sure you clean your apartment, the person above must of lived like a pig. I can only say good things when i lived here for 1 1/2 years, its an older place but has been upgraded with modern cabinets and counter tops and neww appliances. Its better than most places in the area, and all the staff was very friendly.
