Wow, where to start' Well the apartment in Sun Pointe Village that we moved into was on the bottom floor, and the walls and floors are built so thin that we could hear everything our neighbors did. When they walked, fought, watched TV, everything. There's really nothing you can do about this, and it's common in most apartments but it really seemed 10 times worse at Sun Pointe than anywhere else.
Then there's the problems with the appliances. When we moved in, some of our appliances didn't even work. I remember having to wait for a whole week right when we moved in just to get our dryer working . After that finally got fixed, there were tons of other problems. Our washing machine leaked constantly, the pipes were broken. I'd put in requests with maintenance but all they could ever do was patch things since Sun Pointe never got new appliances or once that worked. If you were lucky, you could get someone else's washer after their apartment had been vacated, but that was rare from what I heard.
The grounds are poorly kept, there is dog waste everywhere. Not only that, but our neighbors used to leave bags of dirty baby diapers on their doorstep (I guess they thought we had a porter who dealt with things like that) and those bags would sit there collecting flies for more than a week at some times.
Sun Pointe definitely promises more than it could ever deliver. They say that they are luxury apartments, but there's nothing luxurious about dog crap everywhere, broken appliances and noisy neighbors. If you're looking for an apartment in Fremont, keep looking past this one - you could do much better.
