So far so good

We have lived here for almost 4 months, and we like it. It is an excellent location, right across the street from Fremont Central Park and close to BART and shopping. It seems to be a safe place. We have a 2 bed 2 bath and it is spacious. There are new appliances, cabinets and counter tops in our unit. The deck is really big and could easily accommodate a grill and some furniture. When we moved in there were some minor issues - no screen door, bathroom fans weren't working - and they were repaired before we moved in. Our washer was leaking a few weeks ago, and maintenance was out here the next day and fixed it. Parking isn't a problem. The leasing office always seems to have a new person running it when I go in there, which seems odd. There is a lot of noise: people yelling, doors slamming, loud TVs, garbage truck early in the morning, etc. I think rent prices are too high. We have a 6 month lease so we will see how much they up it when it ends in a few months, our neighbor said they hiked it up by $200 after their lease ended, and we will be paying over $2000/mo if they do that to us. All in all I think its a nice place to live if you can afford it.
