i've lived here for quite sometime, more than 8 years. things aren't ever too bad around here but there are A LOT of downs, and it keeps going in that direction. the maintance team responds quickly, and does as much as possible, despite the fact that the apts are older, and bre is cheap. speaking of older, you can hear everything your neighbors do, walking, running, vacuuming at 10pm, kids yelling & jumping! a few of the office staffers are nice, especially faith, but expect her, they aren't helpful.

for the price these are you should demand a better quality of life. there are tons of nice residents. a playground, that gets tagged occasionally. washer/dryers are bigger, and good if they work. its really pretty safe. its a good location, by the park/lake and bart, but depending on where your apt is, things can be bad, due to certain neighbors! the rent dropped and not the greatest people moved in, who manage to get away with anything they want! security sometimes stops by to ask them to stop, but only when they are in the area after 9pm. the loud, rude, extremely disrespectful neighbors end up making all the quiet, nice residents move out. i've seen many come and go, quickly after being here. its pretty good, despite the price for the amount of stuff you have to deal with and lack of help from the management.

i just heard a domestic dispute, parents of two small kids, hitting, cussing, yelling, getting slammed into their windows by my apt, in front of their crying kids, i called the office and a new person said ok thanks for calling. i called back because they continued hitting/yelling, he told me to call security, so i did and they said there was no patrol til 9pm and to call the police. i want the office staff to walk by and hear it, but they wont. are they not concerned for the kids, or the residents here' we have to keep our windows closed so often to block out the cussing and loudness of them. i dont want the crazy people doing this to know i'm complaining about them but the office cant let this go on.

i'm only writing this to point out that absurd things go on and there is nothing we, as residents, can do. the office doesnt do anything when people are loud w/ music or parties, or now i guess even violent disputes. is it really on us when crazy people that they let rent here, abuse each other in front of their kids' stay away, they dont care, and your complaints will be discarded too.

oh and no one picks up after their animals, or seems to remember to keep their pets on leashes, no pet rent though is a plus for them.
