I would rather sleep in the street or move back home before living there again!

Years at this apartment: 1998 - 2001
Parking was an absolute nightmare. The space was on the other side of the grounds. And the sprinklers were set so strong that every morning you'd wake up and your car was covered in water spots. One of the other renters was nice enough to trade with us while my wife was pregnant. He worked at the facility as a grounds keeper and he finally moved out too, so we lost our space. One time the carriage covering the marked spaces collapsed and 4 cars were smashed to about 2 feet tall. Mine would have been one of them, but I parked in a closer unmarked space that night. It took weeks to fix the carriage. We also had a flood in our apartment from the washer. Our entire hallway was like a sponge. It took them three days to fix it. We also had no hot water for almost 2 weeks because the incompitent replacement maintainence men didn't know a wrench from a screwdriver. We finally got it fixed properly when I threatened to stay at a hotel and charge the management firm for it. My infant son was getting sick because we had a hard time sanitizing his bottles. They say the pool is heated' The fail to tell you it's now only heated by solar power. So when there's no sun, or it's cold, or partly cloudy, or at night, the pool is almost frozen over. The management Never EVER returns a phone call, and when you do finally get through, they act like you're taking up their lunch hour! There was also no central heating and air. There was one tiny wall unit in the living room that did nothing for the bedroom at all (as far as the a/c went), and during the winter time you froze in the living room or bedroom because the heating elements only blew out mild heat. We always had to replace our own bulbs etc because the management or matainence would never return the phone calls. In one year the rent went from $1195 to $2095. They really took advantage of the housing shortage and the people living there. I thought I was in little India. I could never get to know my neighbors because none of them spoke English. All of them had 4-6 people in a 1 bedroom apartment, and some had as many as 7-8 for the two bedroom. That's fine because we all have to make our budgets work. I just wish it was more of a friendly community. Every night when I came home I thought I was living in New Dehli or Hyderbad. This complex is a joke. I found a 2 bedroom apartment with more amenities for only $20 more then what they're charging for their one bedroom! And now I have central heating and air, and also park 20 feet from my front door! They have the nerve to call themselves luxury' I lived there 34 months and I can tell you, 32 of them were terrible! The first assistant manager, Ceryle, was wonderful and did anything she could. She was obviously smart and moved on. Had the current management team been the same management team when I viewed the apartment, I would have lived somewhere else!
