Rent increase on renewal, No security !!

We moved in because we liked the apartments. Overall it has been good. We had to move out when our lease expired because they increased our rent radicaly by more than 10%. They were in no mood to negotiate. I am really surprised that they didnt even try a little bit to make us renew - given that they advertise a lot about reduced rents blah blah..,
For the rent you pay (> $2200), you get a feeling that the apartments are overpriced because they is no security (not a gated community) and outside people park in the open parking spots. I have lived in othet open gated communities, and there has always been a way to track the residents cars vs. visitors cars, but Watermark doesnt care.
There is another community right next to Watermark on the North end. They park in Watermark and their kids play in Watermark's parks. It really hurts to see your kid wait for his turn in the park slide, when 'outsiders' are using it. When you tour Watermark, watchout for the shady cars and trucks parked on the north end of the apartments - you will agree with me.
