Nice units, dishonest management practices

I lived at Watermark for about one year. I would have stayed longer if it weren't for the management scamming tenants, offering a 12 month lease when they knew they would have to let tenants go to renovate the outside of the buildings before their lease was up. This caused me a tremendous inconvenience, since after 10 months living there I had to plan to re-locate for no reason of my own.If at least they had informed me that they had renovation plans, instead of treating me like an idiot.
I had never had any property retain part of my deposit, but Watermark was a first. They deducted carpet and window cleaning fees, from the deposit, for an apartment that would not be rented for at least 6 months due to outside renovations (which included removing windows, patio door, etc.). In essence, they made the former tenant pay for their post-renovation cleaning.
Short distance to BART is both a blessing and a curse. Noise can be a huge problem if you are used to living in quiet locations. You can't hear your tv nor talk on the phone when the trains depart from the station. Check the other apartments in the area if this is the reason you want to live at Watermark (they have better windows).
Ah, and although it looks pretty safe, I used to see strangers wandering into the parking lot to pee inside the garbage enclosures. If you are sensitive to stuff like that, you don't want a balcony overlooking those areas.

Dishonest Management? Management is dishonest by being honest to you about construction? You make no sense. I to had to move during construction- however- I was given a 60 days notice plus given the oppurtunity to transfer to another unit. What is funny is- constrcution was in 2007- that mans it took you almost 3 years after moving out to write a bad review on the place? What gives?
You say the noise is bad, but then you say they changed the windows during construction?? Think about what you are saying before you write..
I dont know where you have lived that no one has ever kept a portion of your deposit- but thats just ludacris. The reason for a deposit is so when you move-out, they can clean your dirty apartment!! Let me guess--- youre apartment was perfect when you moved out right??
Management is not bad at all. Its better than having a slumlord run the property- but then again, you get what you pay for.
