Very good complex, poor management/owner

A desirable apartment complex in all respects except the following:
1)If lease is not renewed, rent rises unacceptably every 3 months.
2)Despite professional cleaning of the apartment, less than 20% of security deposit was returned.
3)Management staff, perhaps a reflection of owner, is difficult to work with.
Under no circumstances will they prorate rent if you leave the complex early, 10 days in my situation.

I agree with past poster. The complex is overall pretty nice. I'd recommend a single story unit if availabe. The ground floor units experience alot of noise from upstairs units. Exceptionally poor insulation on these units for privacy from neighbors. The staff is also exceptionally unfriendly and/or helpful. Seems like there has been past and ongoing legitimate concerns. Staff has a knee jerk attitude of we are always right before they even hear a request or complaint.
