My wife & I have lived at Laurel Canyon Apartments now for 1 year. I read the poor reviews early on, and read them now as well. I think some people get angry because of eviction, and/or arguments with management, and come here to vent, just my opinion :)

We really like this apartment, and though some comments about maintenance or roaches are in fact true to some extent, there is always a solution, if people calm down and TRY to resolve them! The apartment does NOT have "wood floors" by the way, it actually feels like a Formica based material, but, it seems to take abuse well, and is easy to clean, looks good, and keeps the apartment cooler in the summer!

What apartment complex in ANY city doesn't get a roach now and then' We had a little roach problem in both of our apartments in Washington State, at our parents homes in Long Beach, I mean come on, that to me is not a valid gripe, not really, unless of course it is really bad, and management won't work with you'

Anyway, the apartment we are in for the most part is in good repair, again, what apartments are TOTALLY perfect huh' :)

We have NOT witnessed any breach of security here, despite the fact that some people do sneak in the security gates, but again, this probably happens at a lot of, if not all, apartments. Apartment life is what it is, apartment life (LOL).

People need to keep things in perspective, and be a little more unbiased, and objective, instead of subjective. We feel that management does try to do what they can to keep life good here, and for those reading this, I wish you could be here on a nice day when the sun is out, and the happy tenants here are enjoying the place, it is a total contrast to some reviews here! (of course......)

Now I'm not saying this is the best place in town, nor the cheapest, nor the safest, but it isn't unsafe or "projects" either, and no, there aren't shootings! It is a typical apartment folks, with mostly great people living here, and EVERY place has their "bad apples", even "high end" condos or other fancy named complexes! :)

Everyone has their own perspective, and needs, wants, and desires. As a middle aged man with little family, of medium income, and yes, we are "white" for the record, if that matters, we are pretty happy with this apartment! :)

For the record, we do plan to move, but not for negative or angry reasons, we just want a house some day, instead of apartment life :)
