University Village is truly awful!!! They make it seem like this is the best place for students but it is the complete opposite. I have lived here for 2 years and i have seen how bad this place is!

I am a 23 year old student and I didn't want to live in the dorms so i thought that University Village was going to be perfect, the problem is is that if the front desk has any problems with your account they call your parents. Im 23 i can do it myself and even if I couldn't my parent live nowhere near here to do anything!! I don't know this makes no sense.

There are these emergency button things out in the parking lot so if you had an emergency you could push it and someone is suppose to come to your rescue, But they have been broken for 10 months now and the only reason why they finally fixed them is because new students are coming and looking at this place.

University Village always talks about their features and one of them is the 2 tanning beds. Good luck with that!! One tanning bed has been broken for about a year now. UV also doesn't change the bulbs in the beds so even if you do go tanning you have to go like 6 time just to get a little color.

The only good thing with the apt itself is that everyone has there own bath. But fitting four people into a tiny apartment is more uncomfortable then the crappy furniture the apt come with.

Also the front desk is no help at all. I know a girl who had her room broken into by her roommates when she was home for christmas and front desk did nothing. I also know a girl who lived with one of the people that worked at the desk and the workers get special privileges like they can move out whenever they want and leave all 9 bags of their trash for their roommates to clean up. But as soon as a tenet moves out we have to pay 50 buck per trash bag we leave.

It says on the University Village website "You've never lived like this before" and they are completely correct you have never because it is the worst place to live and thats way you've never lived like this, you wouldn't want to.

UV states that this a a gated community and completly safe, However I have seen more violence here than anywhere else. I have witnessed people with guns, knives, threats, and racist, sexist, and religious vulgarity. I never knew by signing a lease with UV that i would feel more unsafe and unhappy than ever. Living here was my worst mistake.

This "gated community" has the easiest gates to climb and i have seen people just walk in after someone who lives here. Online this place looks good but it doesn't show the section 8 housing right across the street.

It is totally worth driving a few miles and living in a much safer area than living here at UV. UV is truly in the middle of the ghetto!!!
