Choose a unit on the West side, facing away from the courtyard. You will not have noise from the street or adjacent parking lot (only from neighbors occasionally). --- Summertime AC insufficient. During night time, turn on AC, in living room, to full, and put a box fan on full facing hallway to bedroom. Worked for me. Usually about 3 weeks of hot weather, pushing my electric bill to $70 for that month (save up some money) --- Wintertime, crank up the convection heater about two notches before bedtime. Living room will be quite warm, but bedroom will stay warm overnight. --- Fixtures and appliances never gave me a problem. --- minor plumbing problems throughout the complex due to age of building. --- Even though gated, had some windshield vandelism. --- Transient traffic is moderate.
