The apartment was as nice as apartments I have seen that are twice as expensive. Tile floors, cabinets, air conditioners were so much better than I would have expected to find in an apartment. And the manager (who helped design the remodel) was exceptional. The only downside is the lack of open outdoor space... there aren't any grassy areas inside the complex, but on the other hand, there are numerous parks within walking distance.
