I actually went there to look at a one bedroom and the leasing office manager or agent was of a b***h saying she was honestly too busy to show a apartment and it will probably be rented soon and to come back later. That area is really crowded with cars and I had a really hard time finding a place to park at 10:00 am on a Tuesday. Big area for police to patrol too as this a haven for drug people to live. So, I didn't and i found a better place anyway. Besides the place was right next to the laundry room and trashy carport area. Oh, and the illegal they got on the weekends is really hard to understand and should not be helping people with leasing apartments. She does not even show the whole property and then says to come back when her boss is her. Then you try to leave a hold deposit and she doesn't understand what the means. I also noticed the resident tow truck driver hooking up to two cars while i was there. I lived briefly at the greenhouse apartments next door a 10 years ago and area is still just as crappy as before. I recommend you look elsewhere.

I worked at The Lake Apartments for some time and am very sad to read the poor reviews it is getting these days. I was the mgr. there for a bit over three years and was very happy living and working there. I met alot of very good people and made several friends.

Not only have you seen a change in the property office, but here has been a huge turn over in the coporate office over the last 6 months as well. Know that when a policy/procedure is changed, it is usually sent from the corporate office and the manger only complies. I have a huge heart and care very much for the residents I left behind. I have heard some terrible stories and am sure they are all true. The newest mgmt company has only been in place for a couple of years and have been making up the rules as they go along. Trust me, I fought for my residents which is probably the reason I am no longer there. The people I worked for are uncaring, unconcerned about residents only occupancy, (they feel this way about their employees as well!). After all "it is the bottom line that matters". Fortunatley, for current residents the property has been up for sale and I belive is now in the escrow process. Hang in there! You might just get lucky and have a competent comany purchase The Lake!
