I am not sure where to start when describing such a horrible place. The staff is composed of people not much older than myself (19), however I believe I could do a much better job managing the complex. They are unhelpful, rude, condescending, and they must be downright stupid to do such a poor job executing their jobs.

When I first toured the building, the manager explained how "peaceful and quiet" it was here, since noise was a big concern of mine. I had read a few previous reviews concerning the fire alarms and when confronted about it, this manager laughed and said that that was not a problem here anymore. Shame on me for believing her. In the afternoon, if the fire alarms haven't been set off, it may very well seem like a peaceful place, as most people here are still sleeping with hangovers.

The fire alarms go off too often for me. They are piercing loud and cannot be disconnected unless a wire behind them is snipped. However, I have found that taping the sound hole with heavy electrical tape somewhat dampens the earsplitting noise. You'd think that with this being such a major issue, the complex might purchase some cheap security cameras, or even dummy cameras (which cost around $15.00 each) to deter pranksters. Not here.

There are typical college parties going on in my area of the 3rd floor. Sometimes they last till 4 or 5 in the morning. There are often people smoking in the hallways, and kids just being generally inconsiderate of their neighbors... If you move here, be prepared to purchase a noise machine or noise canceling headphones.

One day, about a month ago, I took was taking the elevator down to the "LL" parking level with another resident. She got off on the "UL" level. The door closed normally, but then the elevator began to shake. The next thing I knew, I had reached my destination, as the elevator had fallen a whole entire floor! Luckily, an elevator man was apparently working on the elevator and hoisted me out. Apparently both he and the staff at the complex forgot to put warning signs on the elevator door. After confronting the office about this, they were unhelpful and did not take responsibility, but rather blamed it on the elevator company. They would also not let me break my lease.

Now for the most serious of all my gripes. After coming home for lunch one day from school, I parked my car in the underground parking, which is gated. I went inside for about an hour, came out, and noticed everything displaced in my car. My glove box was open, papers were everywhere, etc... Someone had broken in and attempted to hotwire my car, while also stealing my ipod, expensive jacket, and other items. After speaking to other residents, this is not the first occurrence. Nonetheless, I filed a police report. I furiously explained the situation to a the knucklebrained new manager --------, who was unhelpful, idiotic, and a downright -----. Once again, you would think that a complex might consider purchasing some sort of security camera or even a dud camera to deter thieves. But I suppose the managers here do not possess enough combined logic to do so.

I am not sure, but I think the complex directly across the street is one of the government funded housing places for low income and ex convict kind of people. Perhaps this is the source of all the lowlife thieves in the area... It is also true that the north gate is often broken. I have seen some weird people creeping around in the lower level at times. There is a security number, though the guards are not on duty very often and don't seem to really do anything.

P.S. the apartment was filthy at move in. Several broken appliances... Handyman guys may very well be the only helpful people to step foot in this damned hell hole.

So all in all, if you still decide to move here, remember to bring:

1) Noise canceling headphones and or noise machine- to block out the drunks
2) Helmet- to wear in the elevator
3) Shotgun- keep the thieves away

No, but really, try to talk to some other residents about their experiences before burning away your money.

This place is like a pretty girl with std's- She may look nice on the outside but once you get in... you get the picture.

I, like many, am stuck here for quite a few months, unless I agree to pay $3,000.00 to break the lease.

enjoy your luxurious living here :)!

What makes you think the alarms are false? Just because you don't see a fire doesn't mean there isn't an emergency. Why would you leave anything in your car no matter where you live? I don't see how that's anyone's fault but your own. But then you are 19.
