My husband and I moved into our apartment about a month ago. We moved from LA. We never had any problems with theft in LA but figured we were just one of the lucky ones. With plans of having kids we decided to make the move to a safer location (hence orange county). We found Briarwood and loved the inside of the apartment and amenities it offered. I should have looked a little closer...since we moved in our cars have been broken into THREE TIMES! Twice it was locked behind the "security gate" and in my personal parking spot. I would understand if I had some expensive things in my car but all they've stolen are "fake" sunglasses and half packs of cigarettes (leaving the pack and the other half in the car!). The cost of replacing my window(s) is five times the cost of what they're taking. I would only suggest living here if you don't own a vehicle. As soon as I can i'm moving out. My "rent" has gone up $500 just in the cost of car windows. I have never felt this unsafe in my living environment. Save yourself.
