I hated living here! It's way over priced. The food is terrible, and completely not worth the rent. My apartment along with several of my friends had a problem with rats. Not only will you find rats, but spiders and grasshoppers everywhere (yes, inside the apartment). The management is rude; they treat the students like children, and have stuck up attitudes. No one ever gets their deposits back, because management wants to take every bit of money out of the students. The parking is ridiculous! You don't have a secured spot. If there is no availability in the parking lot they expect you to park either on the fraternity row or at the school. I have spent two hours until 2 a.m. on school nights waiting for parking. It's scary and unsafe to have to walk alone at night from either lot G at the school, or the row, back to the university villages. Management could care less. When I confronted them about my issue they merely shrugged their shoulders that everyone has to deal with it. My friend s car got towed while parked outside for a few hours because it was in "UV" parking, on a night that parking was definitely NOT limited. It cost her 300$ to get her car out. Students are being towed from the complex constantly. The security guards are complete idiots! The worst rent cops I have seen, a complete joke of security . They are sketchy and made me feel uncomfortable. I would have felt more safe living there without them. The maintenance comes in your apartment with no notice prior to coming. I have come home to having random men in my bathroom making a huge mess, trying to fix things. They also never clean up the mess they make after trying to repair things in my apartment. I hate the University Villages. It was a good experience because I met some great people out of living there, but overall the place is not worth it. Live in the dorms, or find a roommate in a real apartment complex. Save yourself the money and stress.
