the manager and staffs will act very helpful and friendly when you come and visit the apartment before you move in. but once you give them your deposit and sign the one year contract, everything will be complete different. first of all, the parking sucks!! you wont be able to go anywhere if you leave your parking spot during the weekdays! yes. i agree UV is very close to school. but what is the point that you live across street from school but still have to buy the expensive parking permit from school in order to park at school everyday' ( because UV doesnt have enough parking) when you get home late , you have to park at school and walk home , which is very dangerous at night. Secondly, when you have issues regrading to anything, the staff in the office wont take any responsibility, and the service is awful! One time I got the notice from the UPS on my mailbox, said that i have a package and they dropped it at UV's office ( because those staff always sign for your package). I went to the office with the notice and asked the lady there for my package, she didnt even check and then she said she couldnt find it. i was like can you check it again because the notice said the package is here and someone in the office signed it. The lady told me, its not her responsibility to take care of the package so she asked me to call UPS and ask who signed the package and stuff...so i went through all the processes ( made million calls to UPS and the sender to explain how the package got lost) and then couple days later...i went back to UV office, it was still the same lady, i told her that the company has mailed me another package and it supposed to be here today. she still told me " oh i dont have anything for you here" and I was very very upset so the manager came out, she asked my name and she found my two of the packages for me, which were the first one and the second one( the company send me another one) i was very pissed. does it mean if i didnt get upset then i would never get my stuff' that shows how irresponsible those staffs are! and then one time i got problem with my key ( i was unable to open any gate door) , i went to the office and they said they will fix it and call me back as soon as possible...i waited for 2 weeks ( which was very inconvenient because i had to wait for someone pass by the gate to open the it for me everytime, i had to stuck at the gate and just wait!)and the office didnt call me back so i went to the office and ask if the key was fixed. the response i got was...the lady forgot to order the new key so she called one of the maintenance guy to give me a new key ( the manager didnt know the lady gave me a new key). A month later, i got the call from someone else in the office told me that my key was fixed and i can go pick it up ( i was wondering to myself..if i have never went back to the office to ask for the key, then i would get the key back one month later)
the neighborhood is bad too. people smoking, drinking, partying and have the music really loud till 2 or 3 am in the morning. when you have midterm or you have to wake up early in the next morning, these stuff will drive you insane! the maintenance is very very horrible too! the AC never work during the summer and the heater never work during the winter!! i had to buy my own heater and super power fan for my room because it is really really bad! My roommates and I had made thousands and thousands of complain since we moved in, and until we moved out, its still not fixed!! ( we have lived in that horrible place for one and half of year)
there is much more to talk about for this place, like over charged for everything. the room is tiny and crowded but they charged for over $1,000 it and the rent increase every year. when you move out you only get a bit portion of your deposit because they try to ripe you off with little damages and random charges. overall, this place is just horrible. i have been living in different places for so long, but UV is the worst experience in my life. 3mPoZ6gGN6wTPgNi4L2C

If you are this unhappy with your apartment, try The Marquis. They are in Fullerton. We went there and we like it alot. The staff is helpful, they are sincere and the prices are real low. You get a big big apartment for a good price.

I think you are exaggerating. It is too bad that the year and a half that you spent in the apartment was the worst experience in your life The lease is only for 9 months. Why did you stay? Why on earth would you wait for a month to go back and check on your key? I can't believe you sent in thousands of requests. It's impossible.
