After living here steadily for 7 months and observing my friends living here for over a year, I can say that the Wilshire Promenade is safe, well taken care of, and is in a great area. There are tons of restaurants, pubs, and coffee houses within walking distance, as well as little shops and salons. The surrounding area is adorable as well. The underground parking is very secure, but the guest parking not so much -- beware if you park your car in the ground level lot or on the street; vandalism or other horrible things don't occur often, but they always have a chance of occuring. The rent just keeps on going up and up, much moreso than other apartments in the area. We just changed management, and they're working hard to enforce new security and organization measures. They also just reroofed everything and are continually doing updates on the pipes and water systems. The appliances and fixtures are somewhat old and worn out, with exception of the microwave. Overall a safe and nice place to live, but just overpriced for what you get.
