Wilshire Promenade has about 150 apartments and is about 15 years old, and when it was built was the first mega complex downtown and was nice. In the past 5-6 years two other large beautiful complexs have been constructed within a few blocks, "City Pointe" and "The Pinnacle"....there is no comparison. Wilshire Promenade has increasing gone downhill while these 2 new beautiful complexs have come in and are in great shape, and obviously under better management and ownership. Wilshire Promenade has filthy carpet in the lobbys, trash piling up everywhere there is a trash can for 3-4 days, filthy pool area, and boring ugly decor throughout all the common areas. Very little community areas, and ugly outdated architecture throughout. This would be something you could look past if they had great management and customer service. Unfortunately, nothing could be further from the truth. The new present Fall 2008 complex manager is inept, has horrible customer service, is rarely there, and speaks broken English. She is the rudest, coldest, heartless person in management you could meet. She could care less about this complex or the tenants, all she is doing is climbing the corporate ladder with the Essex Corporation, who must promote idiots if they gave her this position. The rumor is they go through managers 2-3 a year, and the corporate office just looks at this complex on a bottom line spreadsheet...they have over 25,000 units on the westcoast, they could care less about this dump. DO NOT RENT HERE!!! They will rip you off, give you horrible customer service, and reem you when you leave. They also have a huge party crowd that lives here and at 2am when the bars close it is like frat row...RUN RUN RUN from Wilshire Promenade. Until they change management and improve customer service, this is a hell hole.
