I moved here from downtown LA. The positives are the maintenance staff who are very good and very responsive, and the management team whom I find quite courteous. Essex is a big company and probably they don't care about individuals but that's not their business. They deliver a clean apartment for the price agreed.
The down side is the student population which is immature and self-centered as youth always is. Sound echoes in the building so sometimes they do get too loud. Not every night though. And at least one lot was evicted for noise so that's a good trend.
It's a good transition spot if you are moving into OC North in the Fullerton Anaheim area, but not a long term residence.
The construction and finish is very cheaply done although the place is kept clean and neat overall.

I'd give it a 6 out of 10.

The maintenance staff is very good, but I have to disagree with the management. They give the impression that they care, but action is lacking. They never follow up. The apartment is very clean on move in. The whole complex echoes so people talking in the halls can and will wake you. The walls and floors are VERY THIN. The hallways are stained with spit and vomit and should be sandblasted. I'm here for the location as I do love downtown Fullerton so you gotta take the good with the bad.

I live here currently and completely agree with what your saying. The management pretends like they care, but they don't. Funny how 9/10 people who comment about this community on any website and still live here - do so under an anonymous user name! Seriously - the management (a.k.a Corella Deville and The Ice Queen) suck ass, big time. Keep your money, and your dignity, do not rent here.
