The place looks GREAT. The lawns are lush and inviting and the apartments are clean and wide open and everything looks great.
until about a month in. When the groundskeepers wake you up with weedwacking, roof work and maintenance. And you go to do your laundry and find half your clothes are missing. Or find that your favorite plant has been stolen off your balcony.
And FORGET GETTING YOUR DEPOSIT BACK.
seriously. Out of our $500 deposit and $360 prorate- we saw fifty bucks come back. $50.
You automatically lose $60 because the clean the carpet. And they'll replace your linoleum if it just looks shoddy. Which is strange becuase the NEW apartemt we have here ( yes, we are still here, but we'll be moving in a month, thank god.) the floors are scuffed and the doors are warped. We couldn't even use the bathroom for the first week becuase the TOILET LEAKED and it took them that long to come and fix it!
I think that the landlords are nice, but the Acco folks are absolute jerks. The landlords are doing their jobs and have no choice in price breaks or any kind of polite landlordly assistance you'd get from a private run facility.
And rent is stupid high. Search thouroughly in the area for a good place first, and if you're hard up, then come here. They always have open apartments.

Here we are 2008 and things still haven't changed! Please run as fast you can...its all still true and now I know why they always have openings. I've been here almost a month and I've seen people move in and out of this place every week!
