The previous reviewer stated that Silverwood is "on the border of Isla Vista." I'd like him to explain that to me. I can pull out a map and show you that Silverwood is dead smack IN Isla Vista. They tried this line on me when I moved in too, but I had lived in the area for years prior and knew better. It shows how they like to make the place appear as though it's a lot more high class. It isn't. There isn't a true IV border, as it is not an incorporated city, but if you've been here for any amount of time at all you know the "borders": UCSB campus to the east, Storke Rd to the west, El Colegio to the north & the beach to the south. Read the sign at Los Carneros & El Colegio that reads "Welcome to Isla Vista." It's also right next to Isla Vista Elementary School, It's walking distance to IV businesses, next door to a park operated by the IV Rec & Park District. It's the same zip code, that's about it.
