I lived in this apartment for 2 years and it is not a horrible place per say, it's mainly for upperclassmen and quite, where you can afford your own room. It worked for that durations but let me state why I would never live there again.
1) The rent keeps going up, when I moved in it was around $800, by the time I left it was around $895, I believe it is up to $950 now. Expect the rate to go up once a year.
2) The apartment is not just small but old, when I moved in they had to fumigate the place and it was full of roaches. There were cracks in the walls and many things needed constant repair (where if you request a fix, they would simply put plumbers glue).
3) When I first moved in, there was a manager (Juergen) who was strict but he was respectful of others and simply did his job. This new manager however (Felipe) moved in and ran the place as if it was his dominion. He built his own backyard (with a BBQ pit though he does not allow anyone to BBQ there), took out the swimming pool and drives a golf cart around on the weekend to chase trespassers out.
