The Tahitian is an awful place to live. I hate it here so much, and everyone else i've talked to hates it as well. Thats why everyone is moving, no one is renewing their leases, and they can't get anyone to fill any new leases. I hate being at home because of everything I have to deal with living here.

I'm taking classes at UCSB this summer and i work part time, and when I come home, all I want to do is relax & study. Today when I came home from class, I went to turn on the kitchen sink and the water was off. They turn our water off all the time. On sunday morning, the water was off for 2 hours. The owners, Manakara LLC, don't seem to think it's neccessary to warn tenants when they will be shutting the water off, and they do it several times a week for an hour or 2 hours at a time. One time, I was in the middle of a shower when they turned the water off, and it didn't come back on for 2 hours. My roommate had to pour bottled water over my head to get all the shampoo out. Youd think that, for a $1675 a month apartment, you would at least get decent service from your owners and managers. But they don't give a **** about us.

Its really impossible to study because of all the noise that some of the tenants make. There are 30 or 40 people who came here for the summer to do nothing but party. None of them are taking summer school classes and i think only 2 of them are working. The rest of them are here all day, and all they do is get extremely drunk and make a TON of noise. Right now, there are 3 guys and a girl screaming, chanting, and jumping in the pool. Theyre not even having a conversation, they're just making senseless noise. They start in the morning and they make noise until the middle of the night, sometimes as late at 5 am. 2 apartments full of boys blast really horrible "trendy" music with their windows open, so the sound is projected into the courtyard of the complex for everyone else to have to hear. Even though it's really hot, you can't have your windows open. They also play with balls and frisbees, and when they don't catch them, they hit other people's windows and doors. They've thrown a frisbee into our window more times than I can count, and we're lucky that the window hasnt broken yet.

All of those drunken noisy idiots think they're so cool. They just drink and hang out at the pool all day. They act like theyve never seen a pool before in their lives. and the girls all look so gross and ugly in their teeny tiny bikinis. All these people think they're so cool, but they have nothing to be snobby about because theyre all really ugly and annoying, and all of the guys look like they're 15. They're worthless little kids. These people are seriously a waste of space on earth. Everybody else in this building talks about them all the time, and everyone hates them. you come to a foreign country over the summer to do absolutely NOTHING' And all you do is terrorize other people who are trying to do something actually productive with their time' yeah, you're so cool. They dont even leave the building ever. they're so lame. I bet they will get beat up at some point.

The owners, Manakara, don't care about us tenants. All they care about is money. They don't fix any of the problems going on in the building. they just let everything get so out of hand. There is noisy construction allday long, and there is no noise control. You can't sleep or study here. I hate this place and I can't wait to leave. Signing a lease here was the worst decision ever. Don't make the same mistake i did.
