This new management should be avoided at all costs.
The summer situation here is terrible, and if the way management is handling things is a sign of what's to come, I feel for future residents. They will not inform you of anything (they changed our addressed without telling us or over explaining it, have not told us about manager changes or talked to residents personally). Can you just randomly change someones address without warning' twice' just imagine all the places people now have to change their official address (registering to vote, dr's offices, credit cards, bank accounts....)
Cons:
1) they have allowed a huge group of Irish (young people, students') to stay here all summer- with around 8 people in a one bedroom place in one case. They are not being disciplined at all for completely inappropriate behavior. Ex: extremely loud, all night, every night (weeknights included), despite being warned, yelled at and called the cops on.
They throw up in public places. so far they've thrown up next to or on my car twice, and i came home from working out one morning (not in the gym here, that's been closed for over a year), to one of the Irish kids puking in the public hallway. At 7 AM!
They leave beer cans and trash everywhere.
More IMPORTANTLY:
1) you will find no garbage disposal, so your sink will clog and back up with black sludge on a regular basis.
2)over priced laundry. (2 dollars just to wash a load, 1.75 to dry, it adds up)
3) terrible terrible parking (you will have a car on either side of you, and one parallel behind you. If you are parallel parked be prepared for both rows of perpendicular cars to back into you. The parking is so tight some spots can be impossible to get into, or take forever getting in and out of. I can't tell you how stressful parking has been.
4) ants, and possible roaches/flies/moths/mice etc
5)poorly chosen lightbulbs (they all burn out) and fixtures (everyone hits their head on the kitchen one)
6) if people are loud they will lock the pool gate
7) disrespectful management
They are claiming this is luxury. It is not. It is a slum with fresh paint slapped on and cheap new countertops.
In fact, their rushed workmanship when they remodeled the units was so bad that they put my bedroom doorknob on backwards, installed the pocket door wrong, switched the cable and internet wires in the wall and left the popcorn on most of the ceiling. gkZ41df9CgXQPfm8K2A7

yea when they were repainting the exterior of the apartments, they got paint all over my car...wouldn't compensate for permanently getting paint on my car....
man i remember that sink ALWAYS getting clogged up...whats really gross is, when the people next door to u do dishes, all THEIR dirty sink water backs up into YOUR sink, so suddenly your sink smells like dirty water and trash and gawd knows what else...i'd come home and find our whole house smelling like trash and yep, our sink would be filled to the brim with next door's dirty sink water
their parking is SO bad that not a single car in the parking lot hasn't had their car get hit by someone, and of course no one EVER fesses up about hitting your car. what's worst is that the people doing construction have hit my car, dented it with all the stuff they have going on.
oh and unless you're 4foot tall, you're gonna bang and burn your head against the kitchen light
oh and i remember it was about 2 days after we got our official notices on our door that the original owners had sold the apartments to the new shittyass owners when we saw that they'd hiked up the laundry prices to nearly double what it used to be

Hey guys...sounds like you had a grand fiesta of a time at the Tahitian Apartments. Join the club. If you're in the process of moving, and you discover that you're getting screwed on your security deposit in any way, please contact Tracy (fellow resident) via email at:
tracy.gardner@citrix.com
She can help you out. A lot of tenants are getting screwed by management, AFTER getting screwed IN the apartment. Best of luck to you!

yeah I agree with you 100%! I moved out a month ago. Thank GOD i don't have to call the cops every night anymore...Those Irish ppl that are just here for the summer are adding to the total nightmare...but you should call the cops everytime you hear noises...so someone will get arrested and they can leave...and tell everyone in the apartment complex to do so as well...When I lived there, there was only 3 ppl willing to call the cops...not everyone was willing to talk action... Also I would recommend moving out ASAP...break the lease if you have to because apparently they are charging for utilities now without telling tenants...then you just get a bill when you move out instead of your deposit...too bad i am out of state or i would go back and slip notes under eveyone's door to let them know what is happening after you move out. Everyone should move out immediately and post flyers of how bad this place is all over IV so no one would live there...and have to go through what we did.

uh... you mean the blasting music all day, the compressors, jackhammers and drills, are quieter than it was say, 18 months ago? hmmm... and don't even try to tell me the managers have it together. they have no idea what they're doing, hell, you only think they're nice because you probably party with them. and keep the rest of us up all night.
