We moved in Feb, 2007 I thought it was a smart move I was so wrong it took over 6 months just to have the leak in the kitchen fixed I was in the office day after day and every day I was told the were very busy but the would try to get somone out to me that day. However that was not the case. However that was not the case. Then one day I awoke with a guy in my kitchen I called to complain and I was told when there is a leak it is an emergency and they could enter without my permission. The problem with that was it had been for leaking over 6 Months. But I was happy it was done. Then they were replacing the landing on the upstairs deck. Well I received the notice 6pm the day before the work was to begin. The notice read "tenants will not have access to the Apt. from 8-5" however, the workers did not arrive until 6pm and were not finished until 8pm.
My advice to anyone thinking about renting from the Highlands is to have a high tolerance for miscommunication from the staff in the front office.

The Highland has one thing going for it and I do mean ONE THING, the grounds are kept up very nicely.
