When we first moved in management was friendly and helpful. We even referred a friend (which they never payed us for) after a while they changed mangement and gave us an eviction notice for a small white trash can on our porch! Our car was broken into and I found a hollow tip bullet in the parking lot. Our neighbor jumped out of his patio running from the police at gunpoint. Kids came right up to our window and scared my daughter, they threw rocks and egg at our neighbor's window upstairs. Our garage leaked and ruined a mattress, carseat, and some keepsakes we had stored there. When we moved out after over two years they sent us a bill saying that we had to pay the full cost to replace a carpet that was only stained, no tears, no rips with no depreciation incurred or that we would be sent to collections in 10 days! Plus your car insurance goes up when you live there just moving saved us $600 a year because of the location! Everyone that lived around us was trying to get out!

SO VERY TRUE. i also got the worst treatment possible from the assistant property manager, shauna who was not only inappropriately rude but bordering on fraudulent. it was the MOST UNPLEASANT experience to deal with her, and i am only glad that i will never have to again.

I hope people are taking these comments and rating very Serious I just moved out 3 weeks ago the management there is worthless The assistant property manager is rude and condescending. they are liars and when I told one of the maintenance guy that I was moving out the told me good for me and that he would never want to live at the Highland and he has worked there for over 10 years. So beware they will tell you what you want to hear but once you move it you will be all alone they will just blow you off

I have been here two years and can't wait to leave. Shauna Helmers has an ABRASIVE personality to say the least. Please don't trust these liars. They tell you what you want to hear until that lease is signed. They charge a months deposit which you will never see again no matter how carefully you treat the unit. They are managed by sequoia equities, which has a website where you can further complain, and even complaints to them seem to go unnoticed... www.experiencesequoia.com Please don't bring a family here. This is not a home, these people treat there tenants like crap and wonder why they have trouble. Everything is broken from the front gate that they charge $50 for an opener that doesnt work either to the spa or fitness center. THIS PLACE BLOWS...
