my boyfriend and i moved into these apts in sept of 2007. it seemed like it was going to be a wonderful place for us to start things off...we were vey wrong! we payed extra to get one of the "renavated" apartments..and a few days after moving in, we saw a few things that were already wrong with our new home. 1st, the dryer was broken, it took them over a month to come and fix it, the tack strips in the new carpeting were sticking up, and poked our feet if we were barefoot, the kitchen cabinet had a large crack in it..and so on..
we mailed a certified letter to the office about a month after moving in, bc they just seemed like they didnt care about our problems at all, and mentioned in the letter they were in breach of contract if they didnt come and fix these problems, the next day they came and fixed everything for us.
then about 3 months of living there, a car parked 2 down from mine was egged and toilet papered for no reason what so ever...then in lanuary of 09, my neighbors motorcycle was stolen, and my boyfriends van was broken into and had his GPS system stolen!! there have been so many problems since weve moved in..we dread everyday here..and cant wait to get out!! I'm so sorry for all the problems you've endured here, but sadly, they're nothing out of the norm for the Highlands. My boyfriend had his car towed over Christmas - because it mysteriously got a flat tire (in our assigned space) while we were out of town. They've got a neat contract with West Coast Towing. Just one of the fun tidibits about living there. But hey? Stay strong. We got out, and you will too, I promise.
