Good place but has its problems

the good:
relatively new place
some apts get garages
pool, hot tub are pretty well maintained
gated, gate rarely breaks
entrace to the BART station at the back of the property
the staff is pretty good, helpful
my apt had a mini-TV in the kitchen, nice touch
the bad:
thin walls
one side borders BART, the other borders Grand Ave (with bus route 15' from your bedroom)
parking SUCKS - they refuse to tow vehicles that aren't registered, or block the fire lane, or block your garage/parking space. there aren't enough parking spaces for half the vehicles so people always park in the red zone, or you have to park on the street outside or at BART (which defeats the purpose of a gated community doesn't it')
the place is new, so the interior looked good, but I could tell it wasn't built very strong, the countertop seemed a bit flimsy, kind of cheap manufacturing, but that's normal these days
you do have to pay for water/garbage, but they do tell you about this up front and it's shown in the lease, so maybe the last poster didn't read the paperwork properly...
