first year living on your own From: LaBruscana2002@yahoo.com Date posted: 12/19/2003 Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003   I lived on the first floor at Waterford Apartments. There have been times I've expereince pests terrorizing the apartment. When I moved into the apartment the first day, I had ants in September over the pantry room in the kitchen and bathroom. Even ants were crawling on the coloums outside the apartment. As many times I clean on a daily basis, the little pests became destructive. I had a rat overnight running across the bedroom from the closet. I was so stress living there for the three months, that I lived with my boyfriend, but at the same time I argued againist leasing office about this and they never took care of it, until I called Avalon headquarters, San Francisco. There were other complaints about the excerise room, spas closed with padlocks, laundry rooms not clean and the security. Oh yes, the security. It was October 2002 and I was about to go a college party. I left my keys inside the apartment. I ran to the security for help and he told me there is not landlord on sight. So, I asked him if there was a leasing agent that will help me, and he said no.... But one of his kids suggests to me to use a hairpin to unlock the door and the son laughed. I was so pissed that knocked the down. That's another thing about the safety of the doors. It is easy to bashed into someone's door because the doors are hollow and cheap.... Be careful living there. Other than the problems I have experienced living there, I never had complaints about the neighbors because the walls are sound proof. The parking is limited to certain people because the cemetary is located next door. Oh yeah, far as the service...don't assume things will be done in one day. How about one month. Cool'
