Devonshire Apartments

The Ghetto From: unimpressed20042005 Date posted: 9/2/2005 Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2005   When my husband and I moved to Hemet, we thought that this was one of the nicest apartment complexes we had seen. He actually commented to me that it seemed like someplace he had lived in Orange County. Wow, were we wrong! We signed a year lease and two months into it, I was already regretting my decision. The office staff are completely incompitent. They did not respond to any of our valid complaints. Such as our neighbor selling drugs out of her home with her 2 year old daughter present. The agent said she knew about it but there was nothing she could do. We eneded up having to contact the police regarding this matter. The swimming pool area was a joke as they never inforced the no children under 12 allowed. There would be 20 children in the pool in their clothing (jeans and t-shirts) screaming obsentities outside our window, which I new the rental agents could hear since our apartment was RIGHT NEXT TO THEIR OFFICE. Did they do anything about that' Of course not. Neighbors would leave their garbage outside for weeks and smell up the area. My car was broken into once, guess what I had in it' Kitty litter, and some curtains I had bought. Now that is truly pathetic. Oh yeah and to top it off, we left the apartment in pristine condition, returned our keys to the pool and work out room and it took us fighting them to get our deposit back. As you can see I could easily write a novel about our negative experiences at this establishment. When they take you on the walk of to the model apartments do not be fooled like we were by the one clean are. I implore you to take a long look and walk around the WHOLE complex before you make any decisions about moving here.
