I lived there for several years. The complex was well maintained. And absolutely worth the money I paid. My rent only increased by $25 dollars the five years that I was there. Chris and Christine were outstanding managers!!
I contemplated moving when new management came in (they are QUITE different from Chris & Christine---and seem to be very inexperienced). My decision to move was finalized when new management sent notice (via taped memo to our apartment doors) that rent would be raised for the second time in the same year by $100. dollars. I figured for the extra $100 bucks, I could live in a newer complex, with a more professional Staff---which I did find. I'm sure the increase was due to the second round of tenant improvements (MORE new paint, new pool & jacuzzi in progress for the next 3 months!). The new managers seem to be pretty nice (Kyle & Anthony)though, as I said are inexperienced and not very customer focused. I think memos taped to your front door face up, for he world to read were in poor judgement. Didn't get to know them as well as Chris & Christine because I only stayed for a few months more after they arrived. I got most of my deposit back upon moving out. So, that was my last impression of the new management team. I think anyone coming in after the Chrises will have large shoes to fill.
Good location. Centrally located. I felt safe in the complex. Good neighbors. Though the quality of the people that lived in my section was beginning to change drastically!
The apartments near the entry gates can be noisy. Trash area can get a little scary at times, but there are a lot of apartments. Parking is reasonable. (1) assigned spot per bedroom..
I would recommend the apartments to rent if you need to be near the highschool (Marina). But I would advise being very selective in the unit that you choose.

Why is no one mentioning the ever over flowing toilet of people being allowed to live there? It would be impossible to not notice that the place has turned into a slum, since THEY DO allow government assistance. They will repeatedly tell you they don't ,but come on, if you have no job and twelve kids , who do you think you are fooling.
