I have lived at Anacapa for a couple of years and used to recommend the place on a regular basis minus a couple of minor issues at the time (Parking was a big one). For the past year, the community has gone through many changes where the leasing staff is constantly changing and I never see the same person twice anymore. There is no personal connection with anyone that works there and you can tell it is just a job for them, and not something they love to do.

The biggest problem I have seen is the change in the people renting in the community. There used to be dozens of very nice cars parked everywhere, but now it is mostly large trucks, work vehicles, beat up old clunkers and so on. My car used to be free of any dings or dents, but in the past year I have nearly a DOZEN door dings and my car was backed into by someone who chose not to leave a note. Worse still, the community manager did not care to provide any assistance in helping us locate the person who may have hit the car.

I can go on and on, but the main things to look out for are: 1. There is not nearly enough parking available. 2. The staff are constantly changing and don't seem to care about their jobs. 3. Your neighbors will not care about your property. 4. Our mailbox has been pried open numerous times. 5. Solicitors will constantly knock on your door even though you are in a gated community. 6. There is constant noise from neighbors and people working on their cars. 7. etc.

Bottom line, move on to another community that cares more about their residents. I cannot wait until my lease is up!
